Why hot wax?
We use hot wax, which many clients find gentle on sensitive areas, such as the bikini line, underarms and face.
The wax goes on warm and sets as it cools. Then it is lifted away with the hair, with no paper strips.
We work in small sections, quickly and carefully, and talk you through each step, in a private women-only room.

We ask about your skin and any medication, then cleanse the area.

Warm wax goes on in small sections, sets for a moment, then is lifted away with the hair.

We finish with a soothing lotion. Expect a soft flush at first, which soon settles.

Before your visit
- Let your hair grow to about the length of a grain of rice.
- Gently exfoliate the area a day or two before, but not on the day.
- Avoid sunbeds, sunburn and fake tan on the area before your visit.
- Tell us about any medication or skincare, especially retinol, as some can make skin more delicate.
After your visit
- Expect a soft, healthy flush at first. It soon settles.
- For 24 hours, skip hot baths, saunas, sunbeds, swimming and hard exercise.
- Wear loose, soft clothing over freshly waxed areas.
- After a couple of days, gentle exfoliation helps keep skin smooth.

Waxing questions
How long should my hair be?
About the length of a grain of rice: around two to three weeks of growth after shaving. Any doubt, message us before you book.
Does hot wax hurt?
Expect a quick sting as the wax comes off. It soon settles. Many clients find hot wax gentler than strip wax on sensitive areas, and we work quickly to keep you comfortable.
What should I avoid after waxing?
For 24 hours, skip hot baths, saunas, sunbeds, swimming and hard exercise. Wear loose clothing over the area, and avoid perfumed products on freshly waxed skin.
